If he does them one favor, he doesn't want them to get complacent. He just sends more trouble so that they try to get even closer to him. They say God is a jealous God, and this is how a jealous lover acts.<br /><br />He always sets up snares so that his partner is dependent on him. We consider this to be spousal abuse though. People are often in relationships with others who bring them down. It seems most relationships are just the dominated and the dominator. <br /><br />God doesn't seem to believe in democracy at all.
