I'm pretty dense
sometimes - it recently occured to
me that what I am currently going
thru is a "trial" - to me it just
seemed to be "life as we all know it"- believe me - when I realized
this was a trial it made it seem so
special - that the Lord would pay
attention to me and my spiritual
development so that He would give
me this "trial" - suddenly it
didn't seem nearly so awful and I
found myself truly praising and
thanking Him for this difficulty
I am experiencing. Again - thank-you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1388370369187844627.post-79022534192210529212009-04-04T23:30:00.000-05:002009-04-04T23:30:00.000-05:00There's also the analogy of the potato and the egg...There's also the analogy of the potato and the egg put in hot water. The egg hardens, and the potato becomes tender and moist.

When God looks at our hearts, are we hardhearted, or are we loving and gentle and tender?

An opposite analogy from the wax / water / clay put to the flame one.

God bless, thanks,
S.
New Mexico, USAAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1388370369187844627.post-26472498665922858082009-04-04T14:28:00.000-05:002009-04-04T14:28:00.000-05:00Michael,This is a good understanding and one worth...Michael,

This is a good understanding and one worthy mentioning to those who desire to stand strong, growing in the knowledge of our Lord.

The Lord is, indeed, allowing trials to come upon those who He finds worthy to be tempted. The day of judgment that lays ahead will be a day separation, a day where God will make the difference between those who are His and those who are not. We must endure sound doctrine and choose to live our lives by every word that He speaks for the love of the truth is what makes us free.

This is what the Lord spoke a week ago concerning this very thing:

WORD--
Blessed are those who have not seen yet believe. For I have sent the Comforter unto you that you may be lead into all truth and you have received all that I have given to you, allowing your eyes to be opened to all that I reveal to you.

Though you are rejected by men and those who ought to be of the same faith speak against you, I am with you. They reject not your words but rather My words spoken according to the leading of My Spirit. I have offered them liberty and peace, causing My kingdom to come near them through you yet they refuse to come into the light. Their understanding is darkened and they wallow in their own confusion. Have I not set in My house apostles, prophets, teachers? Should they not have known who I sent unto them? I sent My servants all the day long, speaking the truth in love, trying to pull them out of the fire yet they are void of understanding. Their end is not peace but judgment. Their life is lived in fear and doubt, being blown about by every doctrine and saying Lord, Lord but never knowing Me. I have called you friend and have strengthened you that you would stand in truth, never wavering. Do not look back, My people, for you are changed. My words are mighty in your mouth and they are words no man can gainsay or resist. They will not return unto Me void for I make sure they do all that they are set forth to do.
--END

Open your ears and hear what the Spirit is speaking. If you love truth, you will be obedient.

Love in Christ,
RyanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1388370369187844627.post-67182489209651368232009-04-04T14:17:00.000-05:002009-04-04T14:17:00.000-05:00A wonderful truth. I thank Him also for knowing just when to turn the hot water off and the cool water on. Amen.
Blessings,
MaryMaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01337229159770827408noreply@blogger.com
