For those of you still wondering, yes the amount of responses as to whether or not I ought to do a study on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit far outnumbered the arbitrary figure I had in mind. I’ve already started going through my journals, highlighting the necessary thoughts, and scriptures, and as soon as I am able I will begin to put them all together, into a coherent, if lengthy teaching. It may take some time, and as a primer to the teaching on the doctrine of the Holy Spirit I believe it is a worthwhile endeavor that I begin to publish a series entitled ‘fundamental teachings’ that deals with such topics as repentance from dead works, faith toward God, the doctrine of baptisms, the doctrine of laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and the doctrine of eternal judgment. It is a series anchored in the first three verses of the sixth chapter of the epistle to the Hebrews, exploring what Paul the Apostle called the elementary principles of Christ.
Within this series I also touch, if ever so briefly, on the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is part of the doctrine of baptisms.
This is a series of teachings I filmed for our television outreach, and so what I will be publishing are the edited transcripts of these lessons. As I said, I believe this series to be a good primer, and a good overview of the elementary principles of Christ, the fundamental teachings, those foundational stones upon which our faith rests, and I pray that you are nourished and challenged in the coming days and weeks.
Starting tomorrow, I will begin posting these teachings, hopefully dividing them up in such a way that they should take no more than ten to fifteen minutes per post to read. I realize everyone’s time is limited, but there are certain things that require more than a passing glance, and certain doctrines that require more than a two sentence summation.
A heartfelt thank you to all who offered your input, and if I did not think that this, as well as the following series were necessary, relevant, and useful to the body of Christ I would not have even bothered. Knowledge of truth keeps us, knowledge of truth protects us, knowledge of truth strengthens us, and knowledge of truth emboldens us. It is due to lack of knowledge that many are perishing, and it is the knowledge of God, the knowledge of the attributes of God, the knowledge of the power of God, and the knowledge of the will of God that we must amass that we might not perish, but rather flourish in the coming days.
With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.
