Response To A Letter

I was going through my mail the other day when I happened upon a letter. As I do with all my correspondence, I opened it and began to read it. This letter so moved me that I want to share parts of it with you. Afterwards I will respond to it publicly, since the sender did not include a return address.

Michael, I have no idea what your life has been like. On the other hand, you have no idea what it is like to be raised as lukewarm puke…in a home with mediocre religion and not Christ Jesus. Sometimes I feel this is worse than no God at all. With no knowledge of God, it is a blank slate. With religion, there is so much wrong belief that has to be gotten rid of first; some deep rooted.

Your blog has been a life saver to me. Reading how you rightly interpret Holy Scripture has taught me how to do that, too. The blog is a quick read, easy to copy when inspired and an easy reference to give to others. Books are OK. Videos are OK. But a blog has its place.

You are entitled to your life – consider this understood. However, you started to blog and now for whatever your reasons are, you dropped it like a hot potato. Stop focusing on end times and the cries of your critics. Write about our King, Jesus, and His glorious kingdom. This is the day the Lord has made – let us rejoice and be glad in it. Just lift high the name of Jesus in the blog…you know how much those hating our king hate that name. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. There’s just something about that Name!

It is my belief that the devil wins whenever he can silence the ones that administer God’s Word. This is not a victory you want on your side of the balance sheet…is it? God does not grant abundant wealth to many people because He knows it will tempt them away from His Kingdom. Has God withheld a family form you until now because e it is tempting you away from Him? You say you have been doing this work since you were 12 years old. Do you consider work for Him a privilege and an honor? Has it become a burden for you? Rest if you must but don’t quit. Perhaps you do not realize the words Christ gives us through you are very important. Please reconsider writing in your blog. On days you are short on time or effort, just post a ‘nugget’ or two. I would be happy to send the over 300 I have accumulated to you for easy reference.

And that was pretty much the entire letter. Now for my answer:

I guess the best way I can describe what I’ve been feeling can be likened to watching a slow motion controlled demolition of a building. Anyone who’s been near a television or a computer with internet access knows exactly what I’m talking about. First, the spider web of cracks, then the sagging in the middle, the inevitable collapse, the enormous dust cloud, and when it all settles, the rubble.

The inevitability of the coming days doesn’t so much scare me, as troubles my spirit on a very deep and profound level. The countdown is over, the sequencing is done, the button has been pushed, and how we’re seeing the cracks, and the sagging, and sooner or later the crumbling of the edifice we’ve so proudly built and lauded.

More troubling still is the utter silence of the church, those who ought to have the backbone and wherewithal to stand, whose very nature ought to compel them to shout the warning from the rooftops.

I’ve shouted until my throat bled, then shouted some more. Sooner or later, however, one must honestly assess whether or not they are simply screaming into the void. I am a realist at heart. I am not one of those people cursed with an elevated sense of self-worth, or self-importance. I don’t believe I am the last great hope for the church as some do of themselves, or that without my constant input the church will falter and fall by the wayside. My drive, and my mission has always been to teach people to stand on their own two feet, to rightly discern the truth from the lie for themselves, and by certain details in the letter I’ve shared with you, I see I’ve been successful to a certain degree.

My quest has never been to make you dependent upon me, but to stir you to a true and burning desire to rightly discern Scripture for yourselves.

It is undeniable that my life has changed, and is daily changing. We’re in the home stretch of welcoming our baby daughter into the world, an answer to many a prayer, and a moment of untold joy.

As the head of my household, it is also incumbent upon me to provide for my family, and do my utmost to make sure that their needs are met.

This blog, the writing, has always been a labor of love, and it will continue to be for the foreseeable future. I will not taint it, or attempt to transform it into something else, because I want it to remain what it has always been.

I will keep writing as I am able. The nursery is finished, the crib is present, as is the changing table, the baby bath, the diapers, the wipes, the cutest clothing you’ve ever seen, and even the stroller is on its way.

To be perfectly honest, I’ve simply been enjoying spending time with my wife –  perhaps making up for lost time –  speaking to my unborn daughter, and being in the moment.

I don’t know. Perhaps my response raised more questions than gave answers, but to sum it all up, I will keep writing as I am able, but I have to balance it with providing for my family, being there for my wife and daughter, cleaning, vacuuming, cooking, and enjoying the sun which has been absent for lo these many months.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

Go for it Brother. Family is sooo important.

It is highly probable that this minute season of relative peace/normalcy here in America will not last long. Those who have been watching and passing along both encouragement and warning, clearly see how short Time actually is. You/we need this breather as we await the collapse.

I again thank you for what you do manage to share, as it has always been helpful to me. Hope you are able to continue as the LORD allows.

Dear Brother Michael,
I read the letter from the person who wrote in total love to you. The letter was not in any way condemning, nor was it expectant upon you to give an answer, which by the way, did not actually address the love and concern which was stated; in fact, I felt that you were being very defensive. I too, have felt the same way, since I could hear the Lord in the expository writing you do, but lately, I have felt the retreating and the tiredness in all you do and say. Perhaps, you are feeling some Satanic guilt over missing family during these long times on the road, and your times of writing; but guilt is not God's tool. He speaks edification, exortation and comfort to his saints...and the ones He chooses to use a pen of a ready writer, He upholds. Most of the blogging saints right now are under tremendous and intense warfare...and satan has found your corner. Put on the full armour of God, and be strong and courageous. God will give you human joy, but the Joy of the Lord is His strength. Again...just commenting on the letter you chose to share with us. In His Strong Grip of Grace, Birdwatcher

To the writer of the letter, I would encourage you to take advantage of the wonderful books Michael has written which are very convenient collections of his blog entries on fundamental doctrines and the activity of the Holy Spirit. You don't say how long ago you discovered this blog, but if it was not so long ago that you've already read these, they are wonderful groundwork for someone who grew up without these teachings. Go to the Hand of Help website, there are many excellent books there, by Duduman also. In addition to that, I highly recommend reading everything Richard Wurmbrand ever wrote. He is with the Lord now, but he was Jewish, converted to Christianity, became a pastor in Romania, and suffered much for 14 years in communist prisons for his faith; the hand of God brought him to the US where he founded a great ministry to the persecuted church. I pray for all of us who have had it easy so far, that we will be able to stand when it is NOT easy. To that end, I have sought out the writing of those who have suffered, to learn what I can about how they survived. This reminds me of yet another excellent book, These Are The Generations, about 3 generations of persecuted Christians in N. Korea. This is available from Wurmbrand's ministry, www.persecution.com. Plenty of stuff out there to keep you busy between blog postings.

Hi Michael

I've dropped by your blog off and on over the years (how time flies - goodness!) after seeing you at Timbob's "Grace County" and I'm commenting now to simply encourage you and voice my support of your position and response to the letter.

Your writing over the years has always been a "word in season" to me and I am grateful for the leadings that God has given you which, through your obedience, have spoken to others such as myself. But, God is not limited by us, as you know, and your commitment to your family, especially at this special time as you welcome your new baby girl (congratulations by the way), is to be admired.

To be caught up in social media at the expense of "real life" around you would be a tragedy beyond remedy.

I'm glad you've decided to continue writing if time permits, but please know, that if it doesn't, God's message will still resound, it's been resounding through the ages and no man has excuse not to hear it. You have certainly "taught people to stand on their own to feet, and to rightly discern the truth from the lie for themselves" and it's important that it is God whom we seek, not man. Your blog's followers - they can, and must do it for themselves!

Bless you brother and thank you for sharing your thoughts and life with so much dedication in this venue.

Hello Michael.
You are experiencing the burden of man's expectations not the calling of God.

Like 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Forget mans expectations, be refreshed in Christ. Sure we have to live everyday but being in the Spirit is where the Power of God resides. Words of man suck the life out of us, even well intended words. The Words of Life: Words of Wisdom, Words of Knowledge, Prophecy, Miricles, Deliverence, Healing, they are the fruit of Life in Christ.

The poor in spirit are those who doubt and fear! Never coming to the knowledge of Truth. The Promise and Power of God is found by those who believe. They become the Wells of Living Water. The burden of "church" is not yours even though you try to shoulder it. Fellowship in the Spirit can only happen when two walk together as one in One. Those who Walk in the Spirit are not one with those who have left their first love, are dead, follow Jezebel, started in the Spirit and ended in the flesh, or say they are Jews but are not.

Forget the things that are behind, press in to the High Calling of Life in Christ. Many words are only opportunity for the flesh. Words of Life are sent to accomplish God's will. You judge.

Michael, the Lord is giving you a season of blessings and learning fatherhood from Him, with the new addition to your household. You have been faithful in the ministry He has called you, so bask in His presence and let Him minister to you. If He has you to continue to preach the end times, then continue to do so. If He has something that His church needs to know through you, I'm sure you will continue to be obedient to tell us.

As for the one who wrote you, I found it interesting that he started his letter by saying he was brought up in a lukewarm condition. He should realize by now the lukewarm does not want to hear about the end times, but nevertheless needs to hear it and deal with as to how to live in these times. After all, Michael's grandfather was sent to the US to warn of these times. I wonder if God has called the writer to warn the Laodicean church what happened to him as a child and then minister the church to repent, then with the Lord's deliverance and breakthrough, see the Holy Spirit and fire come forth in the masses.

I have ordered Michael's book, "The Holy Spirit: It's Power,Presence and Purpose". I am looking forward to see what has been written and gleam a fresh encounter with the Lord. The one who wrote to Michael probably could check into this book and read it between the weekly blogs. God bless you all in Jesus' Name.
