Baby Steps

Rome wasn’t built in a day, you didn’t put on fifty pounds overnight, culture did not erode over a single summer, and your liberty didn’t go from robust to being on a respirator with the snap of a finger. Everything takes time. Incremental changes over the long term have a wholly transformative effect, and this is an undeniable truth. It is the reality we are living, and looking away or pretending it isn’t so won’t change anything.

Baby steps got us here, and now that we’re here, individuals who want to remake this country and wholly transform it into something it was never intended to be, feel confident enough that they’re making long strides. The finish line is within reach, and if not for you pesky knuckle draggers who still can’t see the glories of misery equally applied, they’d jaunt across the line without breaking a sweat.

Decades of pretend revolutionaries masquerading as college professors teaching your kids that this is the worst country on the planet are finally paying off. Although they’ve never had a job, made a mortgage payment, or had any ambition other than smoking more weed, the youth of today has convinced itself that it will succeed where all others have failed.

Even though they don’t have the drive, intelligence, or instinct of others who previously failed in their pursuit of similar endeavors, their level of hubris is heretofore unequaled. Maybe it has something to do with everyone getting a participation trophy, or little Billy being told he’s still a winner even though he never took the field. Nevertheless, here we are, and a generation of entitled, irrational, lazy, hysterically emotional confused young people with a penchant for violence and pyromania want to destroy in a summer what took almost three centuries to build up.

Certain politicians with as much foresight as most churches are cheering on the barbarism because they think they’ll share in the spoils, and have a seat at the table of power. Little do they know that if the fringe extremists ever do get power, their old, tired, dementia riddled behinds will be the first to go. They are not extreme enough, and though their desires were limited to power and money, the true ideologues want to implement madness that will remake this nation completely. There’s no room for centrism here; it’s Communism or bust.

Speaking of baby steps, and this goes out to all the myopic pastors and churches who put up the quirky ‘Jesus would wear a mask!’ signs, the fear monger in chief who can’t throw a baseball to save his life, is now suggesting that goggles might not be a bad idea to go along with your mask. How long before we’re walking around in hazmat suits to keep from catching something that has a 99.2% survivability rate? As the old adage goes, I’m asking for a friend.

But yeah, what’s the big deal? Just do what you’re told. Submit. Trust the experts. It’s only for a little while. Two weeks to flatten the curve, and we’re back to normal lickity split.

So, the next time you get the urge to say that could never happen here regarding a plethora of things from your liberties being stifled, to Marxism having its day in the sun, bite your tongue and realize that it is happening here. It’s happening, and there’s no denying it. It’s happening, and it won’t stop until the average citizen rises up to stop it.

With love in Christ,

Your Lying Eyes

It takes moxie to stare into a camera straight-faced and insist that what you are seeing isn’t really what is transpiring. Your eyes are lying to you, and preening semi-literates on television will be quick to point that out. There are no riots going on in major US cities; those are just your lying eyes deceiving you. Storefront windows didn’t get shattered with rocks and bricks and all manner of debris, they broke themselves in solidarity with a movement that no one can accurately pinpoint what it’s about anymore.

Cop cars didn’t get torched, and businesses didn’t get looted, vandals aren’t having free reign while law enforcement is threatened with prosecution if they attempt to uphold the law; those are just your lying eyes again, making you see something that isn’t really there.

It’s all peaceful! It is! There is no targeted, concerted effort to overthrow this administration and drag this nation into mob rule and some perverted version of Marxism. The preening homosexuals on CNN just said so, and you should believe them because they wouldn’t lie. They’re journalists, and they take their job seriously, and for you to even query as to why the news is so demonstrably slanted is in itself racist and homophobic. Just shut up and believe what that oozing ball of puss is jabbering on about like looting, rioting, burning, and pillaging being time tested forms of peaceful protest.

What you’re seeing isn’t what you’re seeing, and every major news network and internet platform will be quick to reiterate this point to you time and again. It has become verboten for you the lowly rube, the working schmoe, to be allowed to make up your own mind about any substantive topic. If you must think, they will tell you what you can think. If you try to point to any inconsistency, then the full force of lonely pink-haired jobless women whose only mission in life is to destroy the patriarchy will come for you with a force and ferocity only the tolerant left can muster.

Yesterday my brother forwarded me a video of a press conference put on by frontline doctors, some of whom made compelling cases for the use of certain prophylactics, and who so vehemently believe in their positive effects that they themselves, as well as their staff, are taking it as a preventative measure. There was one particular doctor of Nigerian descent, who said of the three hundred fifty patients she had treated with the coronavirus, none had perished, and all had made full recoveries.

Because their findings did not support the current narrative of we’re all going to die if we don’t lock ourselves in our basements forever, the press conference has been scrubbed from every major internet platform. They were reasoned, rational, reasonable, and gave people a glimmer of hope, and we can’t have that. How dare anyone attempt to tamp down the fear that is driving some people to suicide? How dare on the ground medical professionals insist that this entire drama is being overblown for political reasons? We can’t have that. The nerd kings of Silicon Valley have declared it so, but once the cat is out of the bag, it’s out of the bag. Now, people who had the foresight to copy it onto a hard drive are passing it around as though it were some bootleg copy of an as-yet-unreleased blockbuster.

Whether your eyes are shut, sneaking a peak, or fully open, just remember that liars lie, propagandists propagandize, and what you see, grotesque and unbelievable as it may seem, is the truth. Believe your eyes, because they’re not lying. They’re showing you exactly what is going on.

Greener Grass

The greener grass theory has been the genesis of many a shipwrecked life. You’ve likely heard it at some point during your existence. It’s one of those quirky things we often repeat while shrugging our shoulders when we hear about someone doing something monumentally self-destructive without having any other explanation for why they did what they did.

There is enough aggregate data to conclude without equivocation that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and most of the time, the other side has no grass at all. The lucky ones who go on a greener grass quest haven’t burned every bridge to ashes, so when they realize that the grass isn’t greener, they return to their former patch of terra firma, beg forgiveness, and resume some semblance of normalcy.

Those confident of their self-delusions to the point of setting their life up to that point ablaze, not being so lucky as the former have no choice but to live with the decisions they’ve made, and wallow in the dust of the earth thinking back on the days when they could feel the grass between their toes.

No this is not a metaphor, I am not speaking in riddles of parables, but as a nation, we are having a greener grass moment, and wild-eyed zealots reeking of patchouli and body odor are insisting that the grass is greener on the side of socialism than on the side of capitalism. All we have is their word, and the countless failed experiments regarding socialism that litter the history of man, but they promise they’ll do better. They can make it work, and we can achieve utopia, but in order for us to enter this brave new world, not only must we abandon the current patch of green grass we are standing on, we must burn it, till it, and make sure none of it remains intact.

But what if we don’t like it once we get there? Tough luck, kid. There’s nothing to go back to; there’s nothing to rebuild because the whole point of the exercise is total dependence on inept, incompetent bureaucrats and paper pushers, whose only other career option included a scrub brush and disinfectant. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a janitor, but they would much rather prefer designer wear, and chauffeured limos. Who wouldn’t?

If they get power, their single-minded goal will be to quickly and thoroughly burn down the current system. It must be done quickly because it won’t take long for the rubes they convinced to vote them into office to realize that all things being equal, the much-lauded equality was nothing more than a fanciful fable.

That’s the scam in a nutshell. Those pushing for the destruction of the constitutional republic we are currently enjoying know that Communism is a dead end, a bridge to nowhere, a demonstrable failure of epic proportions. They know, but they don’t care, as long as they can achieve their end, which is power; total, absolute, unquestioned power.

So, even though the screechers continue to screech about how they can change the world because they had a vision while on an ayahuasca trip, allow me my skepticism, as well as my God-given right to reject their lunacy outright. But we can’t do that anymore, can we, at least not without being attacked, threatened, and marginalized?

If their ideas were so valid, why is there no room for debate? If there was a majority looking for greener grass, why attempt to silence those pointing out that it’s Astroturf. Just a few thoughts on a brisk morning as I watch the sunrise.

Yes, You!

The easiest thing in the world is to abdicate responsibility. If you can talk yourself into believing that no matter what you would have done, the outcome would have been the same, then having done nothing won’t seem so bad. I hear this more and more often from people of all stripes, and it’s beginning to grate.

Whether it’s the elites, the cabal, the CIA, the shadow government, the NSA, the FDA, Bill Gates, the New World Order, George Soros, the Mayan Prophecies, or The Simpsons, the outcome of everything of relevance has already been predetermined, so no matter what you do it’s akin to tilting at windmills. There. You have been absolved of any duty heretofore, and henceforth.

It doesn’t matter who you vote for, or even if you vote, it’s always going to be a puppet who’s going to get the nod, and he’ll have his strings pulled by people in the shadows whose names are whispered in hushed tones only when thirty-third degree Masons have had one too many and get a bit tipsy.

If that were the case, all the people in the know four years ago would not have been borderline suicidal when the presidential election didn’t go their way. If everything were predetermined, the results of said election would not have been such an unexpected psychological groin kick.

Although the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing, many a good man is doing just that nowadays, nothing. We see no evil, we hear no evil, and if we speak evil, it’s against our brothers and sisters who realize they still have to contend with living on this spinning rock for a spell, and would rather not live in a more violent version of Venezuela if they can help it.

We’ve become fans of the circular firing squad in Christendom. We are quick to point out that anyone showing a modicum of concern for where society is headed is simply not up to our high spiritual standard.

If you were more heavenly minded, these things wouldn’t bother you so much; I had someone say to me recently. Perhaps, but if the church weren’t so cowardly, then maybe, just maybe things wouldn’t be degrading at the level they are. Ever since the genesis of creation, the light and the darkness have been at war, constantly struggling for dominance.

Moreover, the reality of this struggle was acknowledged by generals and foot soldiers alike. When the darkness attempted to encroach upon the light, the light stood its ground and pushed back against the enemy. Virtue, decency, truth, faith, and family were all things worth defending, fighting for, and if need be hills to die upon, but sadly, no longer.

We keep telling ourselves that we have to pick our battles, that the sleeping giant will awaken when it must, but battle after battle our snoring shakes the rafters, and the darkness advances unimpeded. If our children are not worth defending, if the lives of the innocent and the unborn are not worth fighting for, pray tell, what is? What are we waiting for? Why is our silence so deafening? Why is our indifference so all-encompassing?

Perhaps we’ve lost the stomach for battle. Maybe we never had it to begin with, and if this is the case, we should perhaps stop calling ourselves the Lord’s warriors and singing lies about Him having an army marching through the land. Apologies. I did not mean to disturb your slumber.

Breach of Trust

I don’t like being repetitive. It’s pedantic, sophomoric, and it leaves me feeling like I’m spinning my wheels. We both have better things to do than for me to write the same thing over and over, and for you to read the same thing over and over.

This nation has reached a point of crisis. Thus far, it’s not supply chain breakdowns, or food shortages, although if this keeps up, those things are only a matter of time. The crisis is I speak of is a breach of trust on the part of duly elected officials, from the highest echelons of power in Washington to the lowliest of one-horse towns in rural Idaho.

It seems there is no immunity from abuse of power no matter where you live in this country. Sure, some are more egregious than others, threatening fines and jail time for not putting on a muzzle, but we seem to have suspended constitutional rights across the board at a clip that is breathtaking to behold.

How sad that the land of the free is no freer than mainland China. Still, certain individuals are beside themselves that we haven’t gone far enough. They want a federal mandate, and nothing less will suffice.

I used to give the benefit of the doubt to people, but I stopped doing that some time ago. Every time I did, I got burned, and usually, the worst possible intentions were the ones that proved true. If someone walks up to you with a knife, chances are they’re not trying to show you the Damascus steel blade; they’re trying to rob you or stab you. By the same token, when pampered, self-serving, narcissistic zealots start screaming about a federal mask mandate, it’s not to protect the public.

They are attempting to make the president into the tyrant they imagine him to be, and to their great displeasure, he is not going along with it. As yet, there is no federal, nationwide mandate to put on a mask, wrap yourself in saran wrap, dip yourself in sanitizer, or become a permanent shut-in. These are all local ordinances, from mayors, and governors, and local health officials who oddly enough never worked in the healthcare field, who see no downside in their proclamations because they’ve been getting paid throughout all this nonsense.

Now the new battlefield is whether or not to reopen schools in the fall. Even though the oft lauded science tells us that children are less likely to die from COVID than they are to die from the flu, teachers’ unions the nation over are insisting that going back to work would be unsafe.

Therefore they should be able to get full pay and benefits for doing a ten-minute zoom class with their students every morning.

Ten minutes a day for full bennies and pay? Sign me up. I’ll throw in an extra five minutes for free because that’s just the kind of guy I am. What about the parents who have jobs, who now have to contend with their children being home for the rest of the day? What about the demonstrable psychological side effects of children no longer being able to socialize with other children? What about the children whose ne’er-do-well guardians forget to feed regularly, and whose only consistent nutrition was the school lunch?

Never mind all that. The school teachers’ union has spoken, and unless you defund the police, they’re not going back to work. Say what? Huh? Stop the presses! What’s one thing got to do with the other? Well, nothing. Nothing at all, but like everything else nowadays, it is being used as a pretext to advance an agenda.

As I said at the beginning of this rant, I don’t like being repetitive, but sometimes I have to be for the sake of getting the point across. Everything is not as it seems, but the end goal of the entire charade is becoming ever more apparent with each passing day.

Going Gently

There are certain terms I bristle at instantly. I don’t need to hear the qualifiers; I don’t need to listen to the explanations as to why someone thinks it’s a brilliant idea, or why it needs to be implemented immediately because I know how it will end. It will end as it always does, with violence and death, and the destruction of a way of life that flawed as it might be is still the best the world has to offer.

One of the terms that cause my neck hairs to stand on end is one that has been making the rounds lately, and that is, we must educate those unwilling to comply with the edicts of power-mad pencil pushers, whether those edicts are constitutional or not.

We can no longer agree to disagree; we can no longer have contrasting opinions, if you don’t agree with pretend totalitarian despots, you must be educated! We will show you all the ways you are wrong, reaffirm all the ways we are right, and if you are still unwilling to see the glories of our edicts, we’ll throw you in jail as though you were a common criminal.

Even though you’ve broken no law, even though you’ve committed no crime, you chose to disregard the proclamations of bureaucrats whose edicts you should respond to as to the voice of God Himself. You should know better, but that’s okay, your overlords are merciful and kind, and are willing to carve out some time from their busy schedule to educate you.

This is the same sort of verbiage used when it came to those pesky Christians back in the day. We were backward and uneducated, we were primitive and archaic, but in their limitless magnanimity, they would take the time to educate us. Of course, you have a right to think for yourself, as long as you think the right thing. Yes, believe whatever you wish as long as it falls within the guidelines of what you are allowed to believe. It’s not so complicated, is it?

Now I know what you’re thinking, and what you’re thinking is unacceptable. It’s for your own good that we are stripping you of your freedom. It’s for your own good that we are treating you like subjects, even though we’re not living in a monarchy.

We are watching a nation for which past generations bled and died for be turned into a wasteland before our very eyes, and I, for one, will not roll over and die. I will not submit to tyranny, even in the smallest things, because if I submit in the little things, greater things will be demanded of me.

They will push only as far as they are allowed to push. They will push until they start to feel resistance, and until it starts to hurt their bottom line. Be judicious in every action you take, whether it’s where you shop from, what you watch on television, what bank you use, what online commerce platform you frequent because it’s the only way you can voice your displeasure short of violence. Whatever you do, do not go gentle into that good night—rage against the dying of the light.

Divided Kingdoms

It’s one thing to have a readily identifiable enemy, an external force wanting to do you harm, or an army of marauders at the gates keeping you under siege. It’s quite another when the enemy is within, plotting and scheming, using anything they can as a pretext to achieve their ultimate goal.

An external enemy unites the people of the nation being attacked. The people mount up a resistance, they fortify the battlements, they defend the homeland, and they push back the enemy. It brings them together, having the singular purpose of protecting their families, their homes, their nation, and themselves. When the enemy is within, it creates chaos, uncertainty, division, and clearly highlighting one’s foe becomes far more difficult a task.

If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. The clarity of this statement is undeniable, and the fact that Jesus is the one who made this proclamation gives it all the more gravitas. Christ’s assessment was definitive and declarative. He did not wax poetic as to how it would be difficult or problematic for a kingdom to stand if it was divided against itself. He said it was impossible. It simply cannot stand!

Try as one might to keep it together, it is a futile task because while a certain number are working toward maintaining the nation they love, others are working in diametrical opposition to this goal.

If you are trying to build a house and someone removes a brick for every brick you lay, that house will never be completed.

It’s easy to grow complacent in freedom. It’s easy to take liberty for granted, especially if they are all you’ve ever known, and you’ve never been without. If you’ve never missed a meal, then it’s likely that the value you place on having a full fridge and stocked cupboards is far less than someone who has.

Ask anyone who grew up in communism or a totalitarian regime, and it is guaranteed they will have a different perspective than someone who regurgitates the theory of redistribution of wealth, Marxism, or Communism. Ask anyone who has been deprived of freedom and liberty, and it is a guarantee that the value they place on these things is exponentially higher than those who have not.

Every nation that has had to endure the horrors of totalitarianism, every nation that has had to endure the blight of communism was once free. It is because the majority who could have excised the cancer while still in its infancy chose to sit on their hands and say nothing that fascists came into power, and once power was theirs, it was too late. Once they get control, it’s too late to do anything about it because they are ruthless when it comes to silencing opposition or contrarian voices.

The bones of those who would resist or dissent litter the countryside in unmarked mass graves throughout eastern Europe, China, Laos, Venezuela, and Cuba, to name a few because, by the time they woke up from their stupor, it was too late.

The alarms are going off, and we keep hitting the snooze button because we’re either too comfortable or unaware as to what this is all about. While others lost their livelihoods, their families, and their lives for freedom, we are waving the white flag of surrender in the face of malnourished malcontents with Vitamin D deficiencies. Most are not even willing to make their voices heard, never mind put up a fight.

We have everyone from news anchors, to Hollywood has-been actors, to elected officials advocating for a system that millions fled to get away from, never once wondering why if it’s such a great thing so many fled communism.

Yes, there have been warnings as to the future of these United States, but if we sit idly by, if we do nothing, if we say nothing, if we turn a blind eye to it all, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. If, after having done all to stand, these things still occur sooner rather than later, at least we would have done our part to stand. If for no other reason, because it was our duty to do so.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

If Only!

You know you’re in a cult when assimilation supersedes the natural, inborn sense of self-preservation. The people walking off the cliff like so many lemmings aren’t doing it for something noble like eternity, rebirth, or spirituality, but rather to virtue signal to their contemporaries that they have exceeded all others in embracing the fragmented, illogical diatribes of the mob.

If you were to attempt to understand the circular reasoning some elected officials are giving for going along with the self-destructive narrative that the only thing causing criminality is the existence of law enforcement, you’d likely get a bloody nose, if not have an outright seizure. You see, the key to unlocking a blissful utopia wherein all men can live like brothers, walking hand in hand through a field of daisies while unicorns defecated rainbow cotton candy and birds sang in chorus, was doing away with the police.

How could we not have seen it until now? You do away with the police, and you do away with criminals. Genius in its simplicity! If there were no law and no police, then criminals would never be counted as lawbreakers, nor would there be anyone to deter them.

I know what you’re thinking, and you’re wrong, by the way. The fact that you’re a tax-paying citizen and you feel you have a reasonable expectation not to get mugged inside your own home is just your privilege showing. How dare you instigate the robbing of your own goods by having them? If you lived in a tent and ate free-range rat more often than not, then no one would try to rob you, now would they?

It’s all your fault for working hard, and applying yourself, and building a family. It’s all your fault sacrificing, saving, scraping, doing odd jobs, and budgeting so you could put a down payment on a house. Those callouses on your hands and those blisters on your feet and that aching back and those creaking knees, that’s all privilege.

Why encourage people to apply themselves, go to a trade school, put in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay, when we can steer them toward majoring in the reproductive cycle of the Hmong people and graduate with a worthless degree and a quarter-million dollars in debt? Why insist that you have to earn your way through life when you can just bludgeon a retiree and take it?

In my humble opinion, Darwin was just a doddering nutter who married his cousin, but some mornings I find myself hoping he was right. If only survival of the fittest was the way of natural law, then chances are better than good that things would work themselves out eventually. Still, we have built so many crutches, and safety nets excused insanity so often, that if there was any truth to the mechanism of natural selection, we have nullified it. We turned a blind eye to destructive and counterproductive policy so consistently that the weakest and least capable are now driving the bus and steering it right into the parapet.

Once the bodies start piling up, once social workers with clipboards and No. 2 pencils realize that the only way to curb aggression is with aggression, once criminals begin to run amok, unchecked and absent fear of answering for their crimes, it will be too late. It will be near impossible to return to some semblance of law and order.

You don’t need a crystal ball or prophetic insight to see where we’re headed. You don’t need revelation to understand how this will all play out. But that’s okay; you were privileged anyway.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.
