I don’t usually do this, in fact if memory serves this is the first time in the four year history of this weblog that I’ve done anything even remotely close to this. Today I want to ask something of you, the readers of this weblog.
Those of you who are frequent visitors know that I am a simple man, and that I do what I do as unto God. You will never see a ‘donate’ button anywhere on my weblog, I will never ask you to support me as an individual, but a situation has arisen wherein I feel comfortable in asking for your help, and yes even your support.
On Friday April 8th, my brother Daniel is hosting a fundraiser on behalf of the Licxandru family, a family he knows personally, and who has gone, and is presently going through some unspeakable trials. Gabriela, the mother, is suffering from three forms of cancer, and the family has run out of resources to be able to provide care for her.
The event will take place at the Johnson Creek Community center, at 7:00 pm CST, and if you are in Wisconsin, or anywhere in the area I would urge you to come for the fellowship and also the food. What some of you may not know about my brother Daniel is that he is an awesome chef, and I suspect that he is directly responsible for at least 20% of my body mass. Yes, he is that good. He has been preparing for this event for weeks, will have dishes and cuisines from around the world, and there will also be services, and items that we will be auctioning off to help this family in their time of need. The services we will be auctioning off include a complete auto detail, a two hour family portrait session, a one hour portrait session for individuals or couples, as well as many other things.
Yes, I will be there, and apparentely I've even been volunteered to be the auctioneer.
Now if you can’t make it, I would still ask that you help in any way you can. Yes, I am asking, because I believe in this project, and I also know how many readers this weblog has. If half the readers of this weblog would show a hamburger’s worth of charity, then we would raise ten times over our desired goal for the Licxandru family. Our goal is to raise at least $3000, and every penny that we raise will go towards this family.
If you are not able to join us on Friday, once again, I would ask that you call 920-206-9910, or visit http://www.handofhelp.com/ and make a donation for any amount specifying it is for the Licxandru family.
If you would like to send a check, you can send it to:
Hand of Help
1012 S 3rd Street
Watertown Wisconsin 53094
Once again, please specify the recipient of your gift as the Licxandru family.
I know that we can raise this money, it is not inconceivable, and as an added bonus, if we raise the entire sum of $3000 through the readers of this weblog, I pledge to you that for the next two weeks, I will post one new teaching per day, starting with a teaching God gave me last night in Michigan entitled ‘Three things you will never hear God say’.
Sometimes it takes seeing the trials and tribulations of others to realize just how blessed we are, even if we don’t acknowledge it as often as we should. We are able to make a difference in this family’s life; we are able to bring a smile to their face.
It would be easy to read this post, and in the backs of our minds say ‘someone else will take up the charge, someone else will make a donation, someone else will help’, but I would beseech you to purpose in your heart that you will be that someone through which God can bring about a miracle.
For those websites, weblogs, and ministries that link to my articles, although this is neither a teaching or prophetic post, I would humbly request that you link to it, and I pray the Lord bless you for your effort.
As I said, my little brother’s passion about this project and about helping the Licxandru family is contagious, and I wanted to do what I could in order to make this possible. A heartfelt thank you, in advance, to all those who will step out of your comfort zones, and be the hands and heart of Christ in this matter.
With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.
Postscript: I will leave this post up until we either raise the $3000 needed for this project, or until after the event on Friday wherein I will post some pictures and tell you how much we raised for the Licxandru family. Then if we exceeded our target, I will begin posting the 'fourteen teachings in fourteen days' on Sunday.
Thank you again, and remember every little bit helps.

I have read your blog, never commented. I am in. Looking at her picture, moved my heart. While we don't have a lot of extra money to send, I do have some things I can sell on craigslist. I will do what I can from here and I pray the Lord will allow my items to sell.
Humbly in Christ - A sister in Christ
I'm a reader of your blog, though I never really comment...but your blog has been very insightful to me.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help, though I am 25, I am unemployed and living in the Philippines. I hope to move to Canada sometime and get a job.
All I can offer is prayer. I've been praying a lot lately, as I also have trials of my own. A really, really good and close friend has refused to speak to me, deleted me from his list and it pains me so much.
I know this doesn't come close to what this family has suffered, but I think right now, prayer is the thing I could offer.
To those who can afford to donate money, I encourage them. Let us help those in need.
In Christ,
Carmel
Praying for healing for this family.
