Update On A Humble Request

I don’t cry often. I don’t get teary eyed when I see puppies, I don’t start weeping uncontrollably seeing a beautiful sunset, when it comes to hyper emotionality I am somewhat reserved. Truth be told with the exception of a powerful church service, or my quiet time with the Lord, the last time I remember crying was at my mother’s funeral six years ago.

So when I say that you made me cry, know it’s not something that I do frequently or without ample reason.

Yes, you made me cry!

There is an old saying that a friend in need is a friend in deed, and you have shown your friendship in a way that far exceeded my expectation. To everyone who contributed toward the Licxandru family, a heartfelt thank you. I am humbled by your generosity, and your willingness to put the needs of others before your own in these difficult times.

To everyone who linked to my article, to all of you who encouraged your readers to support this cause, I am in your debt, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time and making the effort.

To every one of you who came tonight as a result of this blog, it was great meeting you, and I thank you for making the drive and coming out.

In case you were wondering, yes, we surpassed the amount we were hoping to raise through the web log, thanks to a generous last minute check for $3000. (JD & Jenny, from the bottom of my heart thank you for your generosity. I know you prayed allot about it, all I can say is thank you for being obedient.)

All in all, just through you, the readers of this blog, and those of you that heard about the Licxandru family by way of a link or a repost, we were able to raise no less than $4450.

Add to that tonight’s auction which brought in around $1800, and a few more donations we received after the benefit dinner, and we will be able to bless the Licxandru family with over $7000. You did this! In the great scheme of things one life might seem insignificant; to Gabriela’s husband and children however, her life is anything but insignificant.

Again, from the depths of my heart, in every way possible, thank you!

Being a man of my word, I will begin posting the fourteen teachings in fourteen days on Sunday!

Tomorrow I drop my brother Daniel off at the airport in Chicago, and from there drive to Michigan again, where I will be speaking at two morning services.

The venue is:
Crossroads Worship Center
9530 Federal Road
Howard City Michigan 49329
(231) 937-5606
Service Times: 8:30am and 11:30am

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

Michael,

I am so thrilled for the Licxandru family, and for you and Daniel! I had just written a check to donate to the cause, but I guess it would arrive too late since Daniel is leaving right away. But oh,the Lord is GOOD! Who would not want to love and serve such a wondrous God. My soul is blessed to know there are so many generous brothers and sisters in Christ out there. Thank you for your candid sharing, tears and all!

In Christ,

Melanie
