A Timely Sermon

I preached this sermon some three years ago. I believe it is more timely now than ever before. Someone e-mailed me and reminded me of it, and since it is on YouTube i thought I'd share it.

I may be biased, but I believe it's worth the 50 minutes.

As for me, I am back in the States with the family, trying to juggle more projects than I have a reasonable expectation of completing, but feeling pulled to each one for a different reason.
Please keep my family and I in your prayers.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

Amen!

Two things always amaze me when I hear someone say “that was then”, meaning, God doesn’t do things the ‘old’ way anymore. First it tells me that people have no clue that God is not bound by our clocks or calendars, our sensibilities or cultural trends, and, secondly, it tells me that human nature, like a little child, resists the concept that God makes the rules, not us. We don’t have to like them. We just have to obey.

Don’t get me started on the Rapture Doctrine! I have said as many ways as I know to say it, when someone asks what difference does it make if you believe the church will be raptured, I respond, when it doesn’t happen, will you lose your faith?

And what if God, who does not strive with us forever, decides to blind us ‘lest we see’ for worshipping a false doctrine as though it is the belief in the doctrine that will save us?

Thanks for posting this.

For Him,
Meema

Thanks for sharing that Mike. His Word does not//did not return void. You made the comment about men love being lied to. Before I listened to your message I had been looking at Is30, in the Greek. In verses 10 and 12, the Greek word used for "deceits" and "perverseness", in the KJV, is translated, "addicting delusion".

Very good sermon. We need to take up our cross and die daily. We are here to please God and not ourselves.

I've heard this before, but it's good to hear it again, as the message is needed more than ever. Thank you for continuing to stand firm for the truth of the Word!

In Christ,

God doesn't want a piece of you, he wants all of you and if you won't surrender all, he would rather spew you from his mouth. He doesn't want the lukewarm, he wants the hot or if not that, he would even rather have cold than just a little bit of your heart. I understand that. It is easier to deal with someone who hates you and wants nothing at all to do with you than with someone who sort of likes you but not really but wants to claim to love you. It is so draining to deal with such people. If someone hates you, you can ask them why, but if someones says they love you when they don't know you and don't care to, I mean what can you even say or do? You just end up disgusted.
