Sanctuary

I have been working on, and praying about this article for a few days now. It was much harder to write than I had anticipated. It may anger some of you, and open the eyes of others. I can but only be faithful to the Word. May God bless all of you, guide you, keep you and protect you. My trip to Romania is not permanent, I need to return for a few weeks to check up on some projects we are working on, and see my brother Daniel who is finally out of the hospital. Thank you all for your prayers on his behalf.

Sanctuary: A place of refuge or asylum; the state of being protected or safeguarded from danger or hardship.
Refuge: That to which one turns for help when in desperation; a source of help, relief, or comfort in times of trouble.
For those who have long chosen to dismiss the prophetic with the wave of a hand, and a roll of the eyes, these can be some unnerving and disturbing times. How could one believe the words of impending judgment, of financial collapse, of natural disasters and of unprecedented tensions, when in the physical all they could see was prosperity, smooth sailing and good times ahead?
I believe that for some time now we have entered into the realm of fulfillment when it comes to the prophetic warnings concerning this land we love called America, and those wise among us, with the spiritual foresight to see beyond today, and believe the word of God, are not taken by surprise as one improbable event after another takes place.
Even those of the house of God who have only maintained what they considered to be a relationship with the Father simply because they believed if they faked it well enough, He would bless them abundantly are stunned, speechless, seeing the pieces of the last days puzzle coming together seamlessly as it was foretold in the Word. The writing is on the wall and though many see it as Belshazzar saw it, due to their deeply held doctrine of never seeing hardship or trouble, of being caught away at the first signs of adversity, they are somehow able to justify indifference toward a loving God, and refuse to prepare themselves for what is about to unfold. ‘Why should we worry about tomorrow, if we won’t be here to see it?’ This is the deadpan answer I have received so often when attempting to teach on end time prophecy and on end time events. ‘It’s all well and good brother, but at best this is an intellectual exercise. We’ll all be in heaven, and have a front row seat watching the times of trouble unfold on the earth. It is interesting, you’ve put allot of thought into this, but in the end quite pointless.’
Times are changing, life is becoming increasingly difficult, prophecy is being fulfilled, and those who refuse to see the truth of the Gospel continue to keep one eye firmly fixed on the heavens, thinking to themselves, ‘any minute now, He’s got to show up in the clouds any minute now.’
This article is not for such people. Even when one can prove Biblically that we will be here far longer than they had previously thought, they still refuse to believe it, dragging out the old tired line, ‘that’s the way you choose to interpret it brother, I see it different.’ It is not about interpreting the Word, it is about reading and receiving it as is, without allowing our personal feelings or emotions to cloud the truth of Gospel.
Matthew 24:29-31, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then, the sign of the Son of man will appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
In the context of this passage, knowing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of mankind spoke them, I would like to broach the subject of sanctuary, or refuge during these times. As of late I have been asked by a growing number of brothers and sisters, what it is that they should do, and where it is that they should go, knowing the season that approaches. I will begin by saying that there is no easy answer. What may be God’s perfect will for me, and what may be my place of safety, may not be thus for my brothers or my father. We must acknowledge the fact that our faith is not collective, and thereby the place of refuge is not a singular geographical location, where all believers will congregate eventually.
For the past decade or so, men have been popping up throughout this land, claiming to know the place of refuge for all of Christendom, that one specific location wherein God’s children will be protected and spared. These locations change of course, from one individual to another ranging from Belize, to Chile, to Argentina, to the Ural Mountains, and some easily swayed souls who were not grounded in the Word packed up and moved away without a second thought. If anyone reading this article today is considering packing up and moving out based on another man’s advice, please, please reconsider. If God told him to move to Belize, then by all means brother, have a safe flight, and look out for the spiders. The fact that God told one individual does not mean it is a blanket statement for the entire body of Christ. When it comes to something such as this, God will speak to each of His children individually, and yes, some will be told to leave, but most will be told to stay, that they may be a testimony of God’s ability to protect even in the eye of the storm.
Our place of sanctuary is not a geographical location. Our place of sanctuary is in the will of God, under the shadow of His wing. If we have not grown and matured in God, if we have not learned to trust Him implicitly in every area of our lives, then it will not matter where we go geographically speaking. When someone leaves a nation out of fear for what is coming, and not due to the fact that God told him or her to do so, they have removed themselves from under the covering of God’s protection.
Amos 5:4, “For thus says the Lord of the house of Israel: ‘seek Me and live.”
Yes, I have been praying and petitioning God to allow me to move back to my homeland because it is the desire of my heart, yet here I will stand until He tells me to go. If He never tells me to go, then here I will be for I know that here is the only place where I will find myself in His perfect will and thereby be spared the judgments that are ready to be poured out upon the ungodly.
Psalm 33:13-21, “The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His habitation He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him because we have trusted in His holy name.”
Oh that we would understand this sacred passage and know where our refuge and our sanctuary truly are. Oh that we would open our eyes to the reality that our strength, our storehouses, our plans and notions of what will keep us safe are worthless. Oh that we would see the truth of God’s word and know that those who fear Him, and hope in His mercy will be delivered from death and kept alive in famine.
Dear friend, if God tells you to go, then by all means go. However, if God has not spoken, do not make the mistake of presuming to know the mind of God, do not make the mistake of walking out of His perfect will thinking that you know better than He. If I can encourage you with anything, it is with the reassurance that God is able to protect both you and your family, no matter what may come.
The judgment of God is reserved for the ungodly, just as the plagues were reserved for Egypt. In the midst of Egypt there was a land called Goshen, where the children of Israel happened to be. They had not been told to go anywhere; they were protected exactly where they were. While the plagues of God rained down upon the land of Egypt, Goshen was at peace, for the children of God dwelt there.
‘But brother Mike, what about the scripture that tells us to come out of her My people?’ My answer to this, is how can you go when you were not sent? It is easier to presume a physical exodus from this land, than search our hearts to see if we have come out of Babylon spiritually. There are countless souls who are still tethered spiritually to the spirit of Babylon, and God in His infinite wisdom is admonishing His people to come out of her, while they may.
Proverbs 14:26-27, “In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to avoid the snares of death.”
It is not in South America, it is not in the Congo, it is not in Paraguay that the children of God will have a place of refuge it is in the fear of the Lord. If we are obedient children, He will guide and protect us like a loving Father. If the fear of the Lord is ever present in our hearts, and as such we remove ourselves from the world, and we learn to hate evil, for the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, then we have strong confidence, for the fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, and causes us to avoid the snares of death.
No, the judgment that is about to descend, not only upon this nation but upon the world is not intended for the children of God, for just as Israel was spared in Goshen, so too will we have a refuge, a safe haven, and a sanctuary in God. The persecution that will follow however, well that is an article for another time.

With love in Christ,

Michael Boldea Jr.

When I see your comments that the following article will make some angry I know I am gonna love it as I know you don't mince words in speaking the truth and it will feed me spiritually. Thank you for this article. As usual you offer much wisdom and hope. This very subject has been one of much prayer and meditation recently. You confirmed what I believed to be His answer for me. May Yah give you a safe trip to Romania and back.

Dear Brother Mike,
Thanks for a wonderful article. It is hard to stay put when you see danger approaching, the storm approaching and the lightning strikes begin. But you are right, if God says stay, then no matter how dark the clouds get, you have to believe that He is able to deliver you and that He wants’ you to stay as a testimony of His faithfulness. I loved the promise in the scriptures you shared: Psalm 33:13-21 and Proverbs 14:26-27.

Ours is to be watchful in hearing the voice of God so that we are in the right place at the right time.

In His Grace,
joyce

Thank you Michael for this encouraging article. I am one of those who has wondered about "cities of refuge", and praying about leaving. So far, the answer seems to be wait where you are.

It's just good to know our Lord is telling others some of the same things. Sometimes, I wonder if I'm going crazy. Ha.

Thanks again. Looking forward to more.

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! How this word is an answer to prayer, and how it has flooded my being with the peace of His presence. Just last night I was reading on the website of a believer who was led by God to leave the country because of the judgement that is coming for America. He stated in no uncertain terms that any believer who remained was thereby taking part in America's filth and would also receive the judgement they deserved. This troubled me deeply because neither I nor my husband feels led to leave this country, even though we know only too well what is coming. We do not feel led to remove our sons from this country. We feel God has created us for "just such a time as this" and that to leave would be disobedience to our Father. I fell asleep praying and asking over and over, "Are we missing the mark? Are we being disobedient to you? Will we deserve your judgement because we stayed?" Then tonight just before going to bed I found your most recent post! How faithful the Father is to answer our heart's cry, to give us sight when we feel so blind! All that you shared is exactly what He has put into my heart--I would feel I was being rebellious and disobedient if we left. I feel total and complete peace that He will be our refuge in the middle of the storm, that His plan is for us to be here no matter what that may mean. It may mean supernatural refuge and provision, it may mean horrific persecution, it may mean death--it does not matter because He and He alone is the source of true Life. To go anywhere else would be to leave His side and would be a fate worse than death. I do not say these things lightly, nor do I relish the thought of myself or my loved ones suffering. But if that is the will of my Father, the One True God, then so be it. I do not want anything else. Five years ago I was one of the deceived, hedonistic, watered-down christians that are all too prevalent in these days--but in His mercy He has lifted me out of the mire, out of the deception, out of the grip of spiritual death and into the light of His everlasting love! There is nothing else I need but Him, when once I was in a perpetual cycle of trying to please myself, trying to create my own happiness and fulfillment, and calling it seeking after Him. How merciful He has been to me, and to my loved ones! We have gone through job loss, bankruptcy, foreclosure, more job loss, sickness, isloation, wandering in a desert of spiritual confusion--and He has used it every step of the way to bring us closer to Himself and into a life of greater blessing than we could ever have imagined! We have less materially than ever in our lives, but we are so much happier, so full of peace, so firmly rooted in Him. Not a day goes by that we don't marvel at all He has done for us, and thank Him for his unending faithfulness. Our families, all believers, don't understand what has happened--they seem to think we should be grieving rather than rejoicing. They don't see, yet, just as we once didn't see. My hope and prayer is that they, along with all God's children, will see soon and see completely! He has done that for us, He is more than able to do it for them! How they are going to need us, all of us who do see, when the full force of the times we are in hits our society like a tsunami! HE IS FAITHFUL! HE IS JUST! HE IS TRUE! HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US, NEVER FORSAKE US, NO MATTER WHAT COMES! LOOK UP, FOR OUR REDEMPTION IS DRAWING NEAR!

Jeremiah 44:28 speaks of but a small number of the remnant that remains being able to return to Judah. There were certain periods in the Babylonian captivity of Judah; a portion remains under leadership by King of Babylon, a rebellion against this one, another rebellion against what God told Jeremiah, a fleeing to Egypt for safety; and so on. It basically came down to an individual decision as to whether to listen to God or not! As the Psalm you mention says, the LORD looks down from heaven, He sees the sons of men...there may not be a denomination or church or country or location to run to! We need to KNOW GOD FOR OURSELVES! He has promised that we would hear a voice saying go the the left or go to the right. His sheep know His voice. Baring any further revelation from God, I plan on staying put right here where I am to be a witness of God's faithfulness in the midst of great tribulation. Even though their be no fruit in the field nor herd in the stall, I will rejoice in God, the Creator of heaven and earth! He is our high tower, He is our place of refuge, He is our strong rock of salvation. What more do I need?

Finally a voice of sense and Godly reason amongst the many babbling brooks.

Yes by dear young brother, we must all listen to the voice of God, and not follow another who says go here, go there, we must listen to the voice of the Spirit of God.

He is able to keep in the midst of the firey furnace, but you'd think some don't believe that.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, but you'd think some don't belive nor deisre that either.

You'd think that life was to be preferred over death, and to be amongst men a greater thing than to be in the presence of the Lord.

You'd think that some loved this life far more than they deisre to dwell in the very presence of the Lord.

Death is not the worst thing to happen for the Child of God, it is merely a transition to the eternal.

Death for the Child of God is not something to be dreaded and feared but to be faced with anxios antipitation and faith, and trust in the one who birthed us and gave us life, physical and then spiritual. (not advocating suicide here by the way-for those who would mock).

The desire of the disciples was to be with Christ in Heaven, why do those who claim to be followers of Christ today, shrink from this and desire to kling to this world.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

I would ask, where is our confidence children of God?

We must all be willing to be absent from our bodies and to be present with the Lord, we must be willing as Abraham was of sacrificing Isaac..willing.. and we must desire to be pleasing to the Lord.

We must desire to be with the Lord, this is our blessed hope children of God, as He died and rose from the dead, so shall we in Him at His return.

We must be willing to die, die to this world and everything in it and to ourselves, our flesh.

We must be willing to be crucified in our flesh, our spirit and if necessary our very bodies. Faith, and courage, and trust in God is what we need.....

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Saints, do you love the Lord, more than you love your fleshly life?

Your 100% correct my dear young brother, if we are in Christ, we are safe where ever we are. He is able to keep us and present us spotless before His throne.

Sorry for the long post, but you can sense my years of frustration at this subject, which many choose to ignore, in favor of this present life. If this is all we had to look foward to we would be most misrable....Amen
God Bless, love and keep you.

Psalms 46:1-3, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

I found Sanctuary to be an excellent word. Is 'truth' bold or profound? To some. It is still truth. Thanks.

The tribulation is about to come upon the whole world, and there will be nowhere to hide except in the Lord. Some of us may be slain, or may die in natural disasters, some of us will be kept for the Lord's return - whatsoever He chooses. There is no need for the Lord's people to run away and hide, unless He leads us to do so. Though the earth may tremble, we are secure and we know the outcome.
We have just had the pope visit Sydney. The words of a lamb with the voice of the dragon......the world is being prepared for antichrist. But let our hope remain strong in the Lord, and may we be found worthy to have our names written in the Book of Life. Let them say "This one was born here" (Psalm 87)

You know, Thomas S Gibson (a supposed prophet, still waiting for Bush to die for him to be officially with The Lord). said in some article of his that we shouldn't negotiate with the Lord for things we should not have. And it seems more like that with the words "Petitioning" to get out of the USA seemed unusual in this regard... now lets look at a part of Luke 11:5-13
5 And He said to them, “Suppose one of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at
midnight, and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves;
6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before
him’;
7 and from inside he shall answer and say, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been
shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’
8 “I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his
friend, yet because of his persistence his will get up and give him as much as he needs.
I hope you clarify on what you mean by petitioning The Lord whether you are asking to leave or asking on whether God would like you to leave or not and going for his answer
either way, looks like I would do some extra torture to the flesh during daily crucifixion , just in case

Praise the Lord
Very good and truthful article. Time is indeed running out and I'm happy that our Savior Jesus Christ is teaching His children the things we need to know.
I would encourage you to read the articles posted on the watchmanscall.com website, because they deal with the coming events that the world will soon be facing. May God continue to Bless and Keep You. Amen.

One of those Summaries to which one says "yes I know that, I could have said that"

But I never could have in a month of Sundays! Nor would I have thought it for myself

How clear Michael's presentation is, Truth shines through for those blessed with eyes to see it. Praise God & thanks!

Dear Brother Michael,

Our family of 4 just came back to Texas after 2 years in the South of Mexico doing the work the Lord had for us. As many people ponder leaving America, I can tell you from first hand experience that living in another Country is not easy! Of course the lord will take care of you if he has told you to leave America, and He will do so if you are to stay in America. My heart grieves for all of the retired Americans and Canadians living where we lived, that do not know the Lord and when the money runs out, those foreign governments will view them no longer as an assets to their money bags. Sanctuary is not a physical place, it is with the lord
