Playing the Ostrich

While most of the church is playing the whore with the world, tragically allowing itself to be used, abused, and discarded by the power hungry all for the promise of a slice of the pie, much of what remains is choosing to play the ostrich, burying its head in the sand so thoroughly that one wonders about their air supply and when not if they will pass out from the lack of oxygen.

Just like the ostrich much of the church today believes that if it chooses not to see the enemy, then by all rights the enemy will not see it, and just move on to something else. Whether due to cowardice, indifference, or outright fear the segment of the church that as yet has not prostituted herself to the world, is giving a wide berth to anything that might seem controversial, antagonistic, polarizing or politically incorrect.

‘Just pretend it isn’t happening! Just pretend nothing out of the ordinary is going on in our own nation, or the world at large! Just keep reaching for that brass ring and trying to have your best life now, just keep speaking prosperity into your life and denouncing those who would rock the boat or sound the alarm, because we wouldn’t want the world angry with us, we wouldn’t want to imperil or jeopardize all the good will we’ve accumulated by betraying the most basic tenets of our supposed faith.’

What the Christians choosing to play the ostrich fail to realize is that it’s make it or break it time for those who hate God and who would glory in the destruction of both Christians and Christianity. They realize there has never been a more opportune moment to strike, there has never been a generation so willing to abandon its faith, and deny God, with only a minimal amount of applied pressure, and they’re going for broke. Having their heads buried in the sand, the ostriches fail to see the pieces of the puzzle coming together they fail to see the storm approaching and wave off everything as coincidence, accident, or serendipity.

Failure to understand that although we’ve bent over backwards to appease the world, the world still desires our destruction, will lead to a rude awakening that will find an unimaginable number of souls unprepared and ill-equipped to do battle against the enemy.

There is no bliss in ignorance, there is no virtue in cowardice, and just because we choose not to see what is about to unfold upon the earth, it does not mean that it will not unfold. The threshing is not afar off, and an explosion of global chaos is imminent. Know that your foundation is sure, know that your foundation is true, know that your foundation is Christ, know that you are rooted and grounded in Him, know that He is your provision and your provider, know that He is your protector and your refuge, know Him as Lord and King, for the shaking is about to commence, and playing the ostrich will not spare you from it.

I want to end today’s post with an old Latin proverb that is appropriate, and far more insightful than a cursory glance might reveal ‘there can be no debate with those who deny the foundations’ and that dear friends is the crux of the issue.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

Your statement"it's make it or break it time for those who hate God and who would glory in the destruction of both Christians and Christianity" really hit me. I have had a sadness/heavy heart all week. First I got my Voice of the Martyrs newsletter and it always breaks my heart at the suffering of believers in other countries. My 13 yr. old daughter reads it and we discuss it,I told her it makes me feel so small and insignificant compared to these precious people who have endured such pain. However, there is an undercurrent in our own country that is rising to the surface and becoming more focused by the day. A hatred of Jesus and His followers. I have been reading in John 15:18"If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." This is what we can expect. I know it doesn't feel good to those like me who hate confrontation. I personally feel the Holy Spirit telling me to prepare myself and my children for this. So glad you are not a coward and write this sort of stuff! God bless and keep you and your family.

How precious it is when men of God are not afraid to stand up and proclaim the Truth! How our hearts are filled with Him as we step unafraid into our destiny in Him! Thank-you dear brother for your faithfulness and boldness! God bless you and God be with you! rleigh

The churches are fallen away, come out of them.
