Greener Grass

The greener grass theory has been the genesis of many a shipwrecked life. You’ve likely heard it at some point during your existence. It’s one of those quirky things we often repeat while shrugging our shoulders when we hear about someone doing something monumentally self-destructive without having any other explanation for why they did what they did.

There is enough aggregate data to conclude without equivocation that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and most of the time, the other side has no grass at all. The lucky ones who go on a greener grass quest haven’t burned every bridge to ashes, so when they realize that the grass isn’t greener, they return to their former patch of terra firma, beg forgiveness, and resume some semblance of normalcy.

Those confident of their self-delusions to the point of setting their life up to that point ablaze, not being so lucky as the former have no choice but to live with the decisions they’ve made, and wallow in the dust of the earth thinking back on the days when they could feel the grass between their toes.

No this is not a metaphor, I am not speaking in riddles of parables, but as a nation, we are having a greener grass moment, and wild-eyed zealots reeking of patchouli and body odor are insisting that the grass is greener on the side of socialism than on the side of capitalism. All we have is their word, and the countless failed experiments regarding socialism that litter the history of man, but they promise they’ll do better. They can make it work, and we can achieve utopia, but in order for us to enter this brave new world, not only must we abandon the current patch of green grass we are standing on, we must burn it, till it, and make sure none of it remains intact.

But what if we don’t like it once we get there? Tough luck, kid. There’s nothing to go back to; there’s nothing to rebuild because the whole point of the exercise is total dependence on inept, incompetent bureaucrats and paper pushers, whose only other career option included a scrub brush and disinfectant. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a janitor, but they would much rather prefer designer wear, and chauffeured limos. Who wouldn’t?

If they get power, their single-minded goal will be to quickly and thoroughly burn down the current system. It must be done quickly because it won’t take long for the rubes they convinced to vote them into office to realize that all things being equal, the much-lauded equality was nothing more than a fanciful fable.

That’s the scam in a nutshell. Those pushing for the destruction of the constitutional republic we are currently enjoying know that Communism is a dead end, a bridge to nowhere, a demonstrable failure of epic proportions. They know, but they don’t care, as long as they can achieve their end, which is power; total, absolute, unquestioned power.

So, even though the screechers continue to screech about how they can change the world because they had a vision while on an ayahuasca trip, allow me my skepticism, as well as my God-given right to reject their lunacy outright. But we can’t do that anymore, can we, at least not without being attacked, threatened, and marginalized?

If their ideas were so valid, why is there no room for debate? If there was a majority looking for greener grass, why attempt to silence those pointing out that it’s Astroturf. Just a few thoughts on a brisk morning as I watch the sunrise.

With love in Christ,
Michael Boldea Jr.

All of this has one goal - destroy Christianity. It is satan pulling out the stops which says to me that we could be close to the final confrontation. Even so, come Lord Jesus.
